Homeopathy Has Been Proven Useful in Alleviating Menopause Symptoms

Homeopathic therapy has been proven useful in alleviating symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety, heart palpitations, depression, and insomnia.

In a study published in 2011, it was found that homeopathic therapy is beneficial in easing troublesome symptoms of menopause like hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety, heart palpitations, depression, insomnia, etc. The remedies found to be most indicated and useful were Sepia, Lachesis, Calcarea carb., Lycopodium, and Sulphur.

In the clinical practice of this center, in addition to the homeopathic preparations mentioned in the study, several other homeopathic medicines are often indicated: Sulphuricum acidum, Pulsatilla, Ignatia, Graphites, Cimicifuga, Sanguinaria, Causticum, Staphysagria…keeping in mind that any of the known and proven homeopathic medicines can come into therapeutic choice, always respecting the fundamental principles of individualized approach when prescribing homeopathically. The focus of homeopathic treatment is always on the specific, unique, and authentic person with their symptoms or diagnosis, not the other way around. This makes a significant philosophical and practical difference between homeopathic and conventional approaches.

Understanding the unique expression in which, in this case, each peri- or postmenopausal patient suffers, understanding the authentic expression of her characteristic physical and emotional mental symptoms, and prescribing the most similar homeopathic preparation in the correct potency and dosage, will encourage the process of returning the vital force to balance and consequent self-regulation, from micro to macro level, from the level of genes, cell nucleus, cells, through tissues and organs to subtle thought and emotional patterns. It will thus stimulate the self-healing process, reduce the level of suffering, and enable transformation and realization of potential. Thus, homeopathy is both a science and an art, or as Scarlett Thomas says: ..."homeopathy seems like both..mathematics and poetry..." An impartial, open, and empathetic mind of the homeopathic doctor and the time spent taking a detailed case history and a valid analysis and synthesis of the obtained information as well as the differential diagnosis of the most indicated homeopathic medicines – are the key to successful homeopathic prescribing and treatment.

In clinical practice, the undeniable proof has always been for each concretely healed patient. And research and statistics in homeopathy... have their place as well...but let's not forget, no more than measuring tools that try to quantify something far more complex than that – the art of homeopathic treatment itself.
